Volunteer Opportunities at St. Francis House
We request, if possible that all positions are scheduled in 2-3 hours blocks since we rely so heavily on the assistance of our volunteers. If this is not possible, other arrangements can be made if advance notice is given.
Individual:
· Kitchen Assistant
o Duties include: preparing and serving breakfast/lunch for clients, general cooking, cleaning up after meals.
o Please wear close-toed shoes and something to cover your hair.
o Available from 6:30am-1pm every day.
· Client Services Assistant
o Duties include: answering phones, checking clients in/out, distributing supplies, answering questions, directing traffic.
o Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
Group:
· Evening Meals
o Group will provide and serve enough food and drinks to serve our 35 residents. St. Francis will provide anything needed to cook the meal, as well as plates, cups, and eating utensils.
· Serving Lunch
o Groups are needed to prepare and serve lunch everyday from 8am-1pm.
o Groups will be cooking and serving for 130 people.
o St. Francis will provide all food and drinks.
· Facilities Work Project
o Help out around St. Francis House or any of our other facilities.
o Groups can paint rooms, landscape, or general maintenance.
· Donation Drive
o St. Francis House is always in need of supplies to help run the facility!
o Items needed include: bleach, pine-sol, toilet paper, large trash bags, other cleaning supplies, towels, and personal hygiene items.
